A Conference of Commercial Department was held at Kurla Railway Institute on 11.11.2020. On arrival of GS, NRMU (CR/KR), Com. Venu P. Nair along with other dignitaries at the hall they were given a rousing welcome by heavy sloganeering. The hall was thrilled with enthusiasm and joy.
The Conference started with respectful tribute given to departed souls. Statues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Chhatrapati Shivaji was garlanded by Com. Venu P. Nair and Com. P.J. Shinde , Com. Arun Manore and Com. V.S. Sawant, and Com. Swati Mhatre, lighted the lamp. All the guests on the dais were honoured with flower bouquets by the Office Bearers of Commercial Staff.
Com. Swati Mhatre, DVP, who belongs to Commercial Cadre spoke on the good work done by NRMU during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. She thanked General Secretary for the help during her own treatment of Covid-19, as he was very supportive.
Com. Venu P. Nair, while delivering his fiery speech complimented all the comrades and specially thanked the ladies comrades who come in large numbers by putting their valuable time. He spoke about NPS/Privatization/Corporisation/Surrendering of Post / Non filling of vacancies and Anti Labour policies of Government. He also spoke about about Covid-19 situation wherein Government organizations only were in service to cater the need of the nation. He urged all to remain strong enough to fulfill the dream of One Industry One Union and also praised the unity of Commercial staff.
A large numbers of Commercial Employees from RKS & MNS joined NRMU. Com. Venu P. Nair welcomed all of them by giving them Membership Card and stood to get photographed with them. Com. P. J. Shinde , President, concluded the conference with a brief speech and expression of vote of thanks.
