






On 16.09.2025, our beloved Comrade Venu P. Nair, General Secretary, NRMU, held extensive and meaningful discussions with several key officials of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) on various pressing issues concerning the workforce.
1. Meeting with Shri Rajesh Bhadang, DF/KRCL Comrade GS emphasized the urgent need for the sanctioning of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to employees appointed against notifications issued prior to 23.12.2003.He also strongly urged that the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) be sanctioned at par with Indian Railways, well before the upcoming DASARA celebrations.Further, GS raised a serious concern regarding the notification of Senior Section Engineers (SSEs) through GDCE, demanding its immediate cancellation. He reiterated the long-standing demand to promote JEs to SSE posts on a Seniority-cum-Suitability basis, and suggested that subsequent JE selections be conducted through GDCE and LDCE patterns.

Meeting with Shri Rajendrakumar Sharma, COM/KRCL Further, GS raised a serious concern regarding the notification of Senior Section Engineers (SSEs) through GDCE, demanding its immediate cancellation. 3. Brief Meeting with Shri Sunil Gupta, DO/KRCL, Comrade GS discussed the pending promotions of LPMs, urging for swift action. He also stressed the necessity to recruit ALPs through GDCE and LDCE selections to fill in cumulative vacancies, and called for a significant increase in CREW strength at SURATKAL, to ensure effective and optimal operational performance.
4. Meeting with Shri Dinesh Gajbhiye, CME/KRCL, He also stressed the necessity to recruit ALPs through GDCE and LDCE selections to fill in cumulative vacancies, and called for a significant increase in CREW strength at SURATKAL, to ensure effective and optimal operational performance. In the concluding leg of discussions, GS called attention to the increased activities at THOKUR Yard, pressing for enhancement in staff strength. He also pursued the matter of clearing pending request transfers in the Mechanical Department.
These interactions reflect our continuous efforts towards safeguarding the interests and welfare of our railway comrades. We shall continue to strive and fight collectively for rightful demands and justice for all categories of staff.
