
Swift Intervention by NRMU Protects Railway Colony Residents**
On 29.07.2026, the Railway Administration served a final notice to the residents of **RB-III/129, Central Railway Colony, Matunga**, directing them to vacate the quarters and stating that, failing compliance, the water and electricity supply would be disconnected within **48 hours** of receipt of the notice.
Concerned residents immediately met **Shri Venu P. Nair, General Secretary, NRMU**, at the **C.E.G. Office, CSMT**, seeking urgent intervention.
Shri Venu P. Nair promptly took up the matter with the **General Manager, Central Railway**. Following his discussion, the Railway Administration **withdrew the notice, providing immediate relief to the residents.
