oN 24th July 2026, an NRMU delegation led by GS NRMU, Com. Venu P. Nair Ji, along with the CLA Coordination Team, visited Kurla Railway Colony from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM to assess the civic and infrastructure issues affecting railway employees and their families.
During the visit, GS NRMU personally inspected the pathetic condition of the roads near the Level Crossing, the road leading to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and the internal roads connecting RB III and RB II Railway Colonies. He also took serious note of the choked drainage system, municipal water pipeline leakages, and water seepage in the newly constructed railway quarters.Later, Com. Neeraj Adhikari welcomed the delegation and submitted a detailed memorandum highlighting the pressing issues faced by the colony residents.Addressing the gathering, GS NRMU Com. Venu P. Nair Ji assured the residents that:
The road connectivity issues will be taken up on priority with the Divisional and Headquarters administration.
Necessary efforts will be made to facilitate private security arrangements to enhance safety and prevent the entry of strangers and incidents of theft.
The visit was also attended by Com. B. L. Yadav (AGS) and Com. John (AGS), reaffirming NRMU’s commitment to resolving the genuine concerns of railway employees and improving living conditions in railway colonies. NRMU remains committed to standing with railway employees—not only at the workplace but also in ensuring better living conditions for their families.
