The third and concluding day of the 71st AGCM of NRMU (CR/KR) at Ratnagiri commenced with the continuation of the Delegate Session soon after the arrival of the General Secretary at around 10.00 hours. The session was presided over by Com. R. K. Malabari, Working President.
Before taking up the main agenda, a unique and refreshing workshop on breathing techniques for mind-body balance was conducted by Com. Deepak Pagare, an eminent Vipassana practitioner and a dedicated follower of the union and its General Secretary. The workshop was highly appreciated by all participants, especially considering the stressful and chaotic working environment faced daily by railway employees.
The House then proceeded with the discussion on the General Secretary’s Report, which formed the core of the day’s proceedings. Nearly 30 participants—including HQ, Divisional and Branch Office Bearers, along with nominated delegates—spoke on the Report. The Report received unanimous approval, accompanied by resounding praise for its depth, clarity, and the unwavering, visionary leadership of Com. Venu P. Nair.
Responding to the deliberations, the General Secretary thanked all participants for their steadfast support and faith. In his powerful address, he elaborated on the union’s vision, achievements, and its resolute mission to safeguard the rights, privileges, and future of the railway workforce while strengthening the union to an unshakeable position.
A total of seven resolutions of significant importance were placed by the designated proposers and duly approved by the House. The day also witnessed the heartfelt felicitation of union leaders, activists, and members in recognition of their contributions.
With the completion of all agenda items as per the AGCM notification, the 71st AGCM was formally declared concluded.
