
NRMU Dadar Branch Celebrates International Women’s Day – 13 March 2026.
In the presence of National Railway Mazdoor Union General Secretary Com. Venu P. Nair, the NRMU Dadar Branch organized a special program to celebrate International Women’s Day on 13th March 2026 at Dadar Institute Hall, starting from 15:00 hrs onwards.
The program was gracefully hosted by Com. Archana Sharma, who welcomed the distinguished guests in her unique poetic style. She warmly greeted the chief guests GS Com. Venu P. Nair, Com. Seema Pillai (Vice President, Mumbai Division), Com. Pushkar Patil (Divisional President Mumbai / President ECC Society Bank), and Com. Harsha Shelke (AGS/ZYC).
The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in remembrance of Late Smt. Savitribai Phule, followed by offering garlands to her portrait. A two-minute silence was also observed to pay tribute to the loved ones we lost this year.
To make the event lively and engaging, several games and fun activities were conducted for women comrades, giving them a refreshing break from their daily stressful routines.
On the occasion, Com. Seema Pillai, Com. Pradnya Patil, Com. Pratidnya Sawant, Com. Pushkar Patil, and Com. Harsha Shelke addressed the gathering and spoke about the International Women’s Day 2026 theme – “Give to Gain.”
GS Com. Venu P. Nair appreciated and encouraged the contribution of women in the union as well as in their daily lives. He emphasized the importance of women taking care of their health and safety first while continuing their valuable role in society and the organization.
The program was honored by the presence of special guests Dr. Com. Preeti Patil (wife of Com. Deepak Patil), Com. Reena Singh (wife of Com. S. K. Singh), and Com. Mari Pillai (wife of Com. Bala Pillai). They were warmly welcomed and felicitated by GS Com. Venu P. Nair.
Com. S. K. Singh expressed his gratitude to all the women comrades present and praised their contributions in his own unique style.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Com. Khushbu Parmar, who appreciated everyone for their support and participation.
A special thanks was extended to Com. Pratidnya Sawant and the entire Dadar Branch team for their dedicated efforts in making the program successful.
Finally, heartfelt appreciation was given to all women comrades for their presence and for making the celebration memorable and beautiful.
