Under the guidance of Comrade Venu P. Nair, AGS AIRF, VP HMS, and President RTMU, the Mental Well-Being Seminar was successfully conducted by NRMU CR/KR on 7th January 2025, at the Dadar Institute Hall, Mumbai Division. The event, held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, highlighted the significance of mental health among railway workers and the broader workforce.The seminar was hosted by Comrade Vivek Nair, AGS NRMU, who showcased introductory video clips reflecting the NRMU’s vision, its inclusive working culture, and the growing participation of youth and women in decision-making. Comrade Harsha Suhas Shelke, Zonal Youth Convenor NRMU and West Region Coordinator for the AIRF Mental Well-Being Project, presented a comprehensive PPT on NRMU and AIRF’s contributions to promoting mental well-being.The event was graced by the esteemed presence of: • Com. Dr. Asif Altaf, Global Mental Well-Being Program CoordinatorBoth dignitaries appreciated the enthusiastic participation of over 600 comrades at the venue. Com. Steve lauded General Secretary Com. Venu P. Nair’s charismatic leadership in uniting the workforce, addressing grievances, and protecting employees from exploitative practices. He further invited Com. Nair to play a constructive global role through ITF to mitigate workers’ issues worldwide.Dr. Asif Altaf emphasized the importance of mental health for workers, especially in the railway sector, and elaborated on the ITF Mental Well-Being Project in collaboration with AIRF.
